Victor Infante wrote a great review of Erich Haygun and I’s performance at the Dirty Gerund Poetry Show.

“Zuniga, on tour to promote her new book, β€œThe Smell of Good Mud,” has a calm assuredness in front of a microphone, a natural command of a room. There’s a confessional bent to her poems, often exploring her life as a single mother and a gay woman in Oklahoma. But there’s also an inspirational quality to her work. One poem, comprising a series of brief vignettes about young people in her part of the world struggling with their sexuality, managed to be absolutely devastating without jettisoning the humanity in her subjects, or her own sense of humor.”
