I was lucky enough to do a show with Erich Haygun an amazing queer poet/rapper/sound guy originally from Boston and now residing in Vancouver, BC. We did the Dirt Gerund Poetry Show together in Worcester, MA. He started the set with this piece after ripping off his shirt and revealing a sexy black corset. “I just need you to know who I am before we do this, ” he said. I was hooked. Machismo, gruff rap in dainty lingerie, chest hair spilling out, jumping on bar stools and making all the Bros uncomfortable. He is a brilliant writer/performer. We also got to stay with Erich at the amazing art collective house, The White Haus home of White Haus Family Record. Check out Are You In Paradise which features tracks from some of our favorite humans, Shira Erlichman and Brian Ellis. PS. Lavender is Erich’s spirit animal. Let’s all meet in the Hoot Room.
